day 654 | november 7, 2012 | gradROOation!

you know that feeling, when your heart is leaping out of your chest with a painful sort of sweetness, and your insides are melting in awe and tears are precariously hanging on to the edge of your eye -- and yet your brain is telling you it's just another day in the life, so stop being so bloody silly. that's how it felt. i managed to hold back the tears this time. i can imagine the floodgates of my tearducts breaking open for her next milestones though. but let me not get ahead of myself. it is JUST her kindergarten graduation after all. :)

she takes her singing seriously...
performances...
red watches and wonders by the aisle...
Spotted Layla! :)
proud parents snap away...
red's wondering what the big deal is...
friends...
 and a quick dinner-playtime outside...
the little posers ham it up!
just another day indeed. and these little ones make me proud every single day!

  1. what you mean just a kindergarten graduation. that's a major milestone. by the time you get to university, the hype dies down.

my kid just had his year-end concert and I (think) I almost teared

  2. i don't remember having a kindie graduation, so i came in thinking it was utterly unnecessary. :) the hype dies down? i suppose you may be right. we feel the "growth" more keenly in the earlier stages. ;)

ALMOST. i can admit to almost tearing too. :)

i was so busy clapping and crying and blowing my nose and laughing at the same time at poppy's concert. can't imagine the amount of tissues i will need at her graduation!
