when i first saw manny librodo's photos in pbase, i could not stop saying "wow" again and again. what amazed me even more is that this inspiring photographer, who is well-respected internationally, is a fellow pinoy.

i have been planning to meet manny since oct last year. meeting him in person was mind-blowing. he's very down-to-earth and his approach is very simple. i still enjoy shooting manual (especially for street photography), but throughout the workshop, i was shooting exclusively using aperture mode. photoshop was almost a breeze now that i've done 6 shots using manny's workflow. but as the maestro has appropriately pointed out, a working knowledge of technicals is important, yes, but it all boils down to the concept behind the photo. you need to tell a story.
