day 715 | november 21, 2014 | Sumilon Island, Philippines

Closest airport to Sumilon Island is Mactan-Cebu (est 3-4 hours)
A quick recharge trip with the girls in an idyllic island paradise. Managed to check off a few things in the bucket list too -- sleep by the beach underneath uncountable stars, and swim with the whale sharks. Let the images tell the story...
Tucked in for the long ride
Mainland jetty
Truly back to nature
Briefing before heading to island
Little reassurances
Glamping tents!
Little adventurer
A sandbar beach all to ourselves
Dinner setting for the first night
Under a speckled array of uncountable stars. The darker the night, the more suns we are able to see...
Waking up in anticipation of the sunrise
Sea cucumber
Resort Security watched over us as we slept, and made sure to find me interesting creatures to shoot
Angry little octopus
Much happier when s/he was released...
Crystalline waters
"Advanced" hiking trail

Off to meet the whale sharks
Tan-awan, Oslob
Red scared but bravely soldiering on
Whale sharks rubbing against us!
Habal-habal, Motorcycle to the falls
Red was more scared of the waterfall that she was of the whale sharks. :)
Down the plank, into the boat, and back to the island
Massage with the waves down below playing as soundtrack
Dinner setting on the second night, Beach all to ourselves
Breakfast conversations
Off to another adventure
View overhead
My sun and moon. Best view ever!
And finally, a bit of quiet time to soak it all up...
