day 392 | august 11, 2010 | of gal pals and horse rides

attended one of roo's favorite girlfriend's birthday party, and for several days before the party, roo could not stop asking me every morning if it's her friend's birthday yet. and every negative response i gave her earned me a despondent sigh. once the day finally came, she was like live wire, all bouncy and easily excitable. her other favorite girl friend was in attendance, so she was bouncing all over the place independently as i nibbled and took snapshots in my lazy preggy manner. some days, i wish i could plug into her, and borrow some of her energy. or perhaps, steal some AAs from her internal battery pack. =)

what made the party even more exciting was the promise of horse rides. roo thinks horses are stinky animals, so she refused to hang around beside area where the other little ones were waiting their turn to ride the horse. haughtily covering her nose, and squinching it once in a while, she would approach her waiting friends, mutter "smelly" under her breath, then promptly walk away. she opted to play golf while waiting instead, and ended up being the last of the kids to ride. i'm quite proud of her, as i didn't have to accompany her during the ride, and she was ok to be led away from me and into the field by her lonesome, though i seriously dunno where she picked up the haughty distate for "smelly" animals.  


excited to get roo's party sorted out, and looking forward to having her friends over all in the same place. now off i go to hunt down that mermaid cake she was asking for...
