day 628 | august 19, 2012 | Tinysaurus Red: Otter-ly wrong, A tale of 'whodunit'

got a call from roo one afternoon. mrs. ladybug is dead.

'what do you mean?' i asked. 'there's no more air inside her, mommy. she's all floppy.' 'what happened?' 'we were playing and jumping around, and then mrs ladybug died,' roo confided, all worry in her voice. in the background, i could hear red repeating her sister's words in her tinysaurus way 'edy bug DIE!'

day 648 | august 19, 2012 | saddle club

it was a multi-purpose trip -- i wanted to (1) try brunch at riders' cafe, (2) let the little ones ride the ponies, and (3) scout and get inspired for future shoots...

day 642 | august 10, 2012 | Measure in Love

I've listed a scout of the old KTM railway on my to-do list, and was pleasantly surprised to get an invitation from Hermes via email on a 'gift of time' exhibit. the concept is very lofty, and I was curious how they would execute the idea...

"never forget: the first rule of light
is to make the dark more beautiful
and not to measure out the days..."
- unknown, quoted in the exhibit

day 614 | august 9, 2012 | of spreading roots and growing wings

today, we are celebrating the 47th birthday of singapore, a place where we've decided to spread our roots and grow our wings. despite having moved to singapore more than six years ago, this is our first year to celebrate as an officially all-singaporean family. (due to different passports, i used to get mistaken as my kids' helper. yikes!)

day 615 | august 5, 2012 | bishan park play III - river plains

for the final part of our bishan park play blog posts, we took snaps as we explored our charming almost-backyard. this is the slice of the park that's bounded by ang mo kio avenue 1, marymount road, bishan street 22, and bishan road.
Map from NParks, little red hearts mark the places we explored

day 632 | august 1, 2012 | Tinysaurus Red: Jailbreak

An episode out of many 'tales of tinysaurus red,' which chronicles Red's toddler misadventures. I'm starting off with this particular tidbit because it showcases the sort of single-mindedness the little ones have at this age. Taken from between July to September, that lock continues to challenge her. It's a good thing it's broken, else she may have run off (and possibly brought home a boy!) several weeks back.
